Wrangler Softball swept the NTJCAC Player of the Week honors after a dominant week, as freshmen Natalie Gonzales and Emily Turner were recognized for their performances.
Gonzales was named NTJCAC Pitcher of the Week following a standout performance in the circle. The San Antonio native went 2–0 on the week with a 0.00 ERA, allowing only six hits across 12 innings of work. She recorded 10 strikeouts and limited opposing hitters to a .143 batting average.
Turner earned NTJCAC Position Player of the Week honors after a big week at the plate and behind it. The freshman catcher/shortstop hit .533, collecting three doubles, two home runs, and driving in 13 runs. She also scored seven runs and threw out two runners attempting to steal.
