Mason Munz is entering his first year at Cisco College.
Prior to joining the Wranglers coaching staff, Munz wrapped up a decorated career at Cloud County CC and Wichita State.
A gradaute of Kingman High School, Munz began his career at Cloud County CC. There, Munz made 28 relief appearances over the span of two seasons with the Thunderbirds, totaling 29.2 innings. As a freshman, Munz made nine appearances, finishing 1-0 with a 7.59 ERA. During his sophomore season, he went 1-0 with a 5.68 ERA, notching 21 strikeouts in 19.0 innings of work, allowing 14 hits. Munz did not allow a run in 13 of his 19 outings.
At Wichita State, Coach Munz appeared in 17 games out of the Wichita State bullpen, posting a 2.81 ERA over 16.0 innings, allowing just seven hits for a .137 opponent batting average (gave up just two hits in 19 at-bats against left-handed hitters), striking out 13 batters, and only allowed more than one hit just once in his 17 appearances.
Coach Munz will work with the pitching staff, while also assisting with recruiting.
